Hosted Services Quick Start Guide

The Hosted Demo Partition is fully pre-configured to live test our Hosted Solutions in few minutes. If You are reading this document by redircet from our welcome email or within Your demo partition, it will take you no more than 10 minutes to configure your accounts and make live test calls. At that point you will have Your VoIP Telephony Business up and running. Step 1. Download and install client application.

You can use any commercial or opensource SIP client (software dialer) for Windows, Linux or other operating system as well as ATA (Analogue Telephone Adapter). The links below lead to two popular choices:

Step 2. Obtain account information from Billing System.

There are 10 pre-configured accounts already in your system with $1.00 test credit each. Please click "Accounts" submenu under "Clients" menu. List of Accounts will open. Choose any of them and click hyperlinked Account ID. In our example it is 1234567890. An account screen will open like this:

The important information for registering client account is in following fields:

1) Account/Number/Alias

2) Password

Step 3. Setup client application (softphone)

In case you choose Ekiga, here are the steps:

1. Start the softphone. You can follow instructions of the Configuration Druid, just choose "No" when asked to create Ekiga account. Once the configuration is complete, click on "Edit" "Accounts" to create account manually. Click "Add" and enter information which you have obtained from billing system above:

  • "Account Name" - any friendly name
  • "User" field -> Account/Number/Alias from Billing system
  • "Password" field -> Password from Billing
  • "Registrar" field: enter "service1.arrow-telecom.net"
  • click "More options" and copy "User" data into "Authentication Login" field
  • OK to save

2. Let Ekiga register with the service by checking checkbox in "A" column.

3. The client is registered now:

4. You can now make calls by choosing one of predefined prefixes "00", "01", "02" + country code + area code + number. Enter the numbers after "sip:" prompt and click Connection button.

5. You are now connected. To verify correctness of Call Detail Record, please click "Calls" link on menu after call is disconnected.
