PC to Phone Service

PC to Phone is Internet telephony service where caller calls from software (dialer, softphone) installed on his/her computer to other party connected to regular telephone network (PSTN) or mobile phone network.

Our solution allows to bypass long distance or international carrier toll and use Internet as medium to carry the voice.

The typical components of this solution are:

  • Computer with Softphone installed (supplied by 3rd party)
  • VoIP Call Switching (provided by Arrow Telecom)
  • VoIP Call Billing (provided by Arrow Telecom)
  • VoIP to PSTN gateway (Call Termination) (provided by 3rd party or Arrow Telecom)

The typical call flow in this scenario is:

  • Caller launches dialer application which registers with Arrow Telecom network. If the authorization is successful, softphone can optionally display remaining balance and allow user to dial or key in destination number.
  • Software dials the number and Arrow Telecom connects the call with destination.
  • Upon call completion, Call Detail Record (CDR) is generated and users account charged for the amount of call.

ArrowTelecom provides most of the components needed to create this service.

Following components should be provided by user separately:

  • Software to use as dialer
